Food Donations

Childhood hunger is a problem we know how to solve. We have plenty of food in this country, and we have effective programs to feed kids. But too many families simply can't access these programs and get the food they need for their kids.

Every weekend, we donate leftover bread from our Panera Bread to a local family church, where it is distributed to those who need it the most. Not only that, but we hold peanut butter and jelly sandwich-making events at least three times a year, where volunteers make over 150 sandwiches that are appropriated to local food programs. Finally, through the Treats for Troops program, we donated hundreds of candies to American soldiers on the front lines, supporting those who keep us safe in our beds.

Community Service

Of course, food is not the only necessity we assist in distributing. We also collected used clothes and books through donation drives. These items were all sent to local programs to distribute to those who needed them the most. Furthermore, we participate through active volunteering ventures to shape our community into a better one. We host biannual Adopt-A-Road cleanups along a frequently walked mile-long section of road. Not only that, but we also participate in toy-wrapping events via the Bottomless Toy Chest to facilitate the distribution of toys to ill children in hospitals. Through these measures, MYVA takes care to give back to the community so that others can achieve a higher standard of living.
